How to Pick a Cleanse
What is Right for you?
For the last several posts we have been talking about cleanses, what they are, and what the benefits of taking part in one might be. Today, we'd like to talk a little bit about how to pick one that's right for you. One of the first things to look at are the ingredients in a cleanse. If you have a sensitivity to such things as milk, gluten, or nuts, you want to make sure the cleanse doesn't contain any of these items. You also want to make sure that the cleanse you choose uses organic, whole foods. These are the best products to get you on the right track. We offer 3 types of cleanses to get you where you are trying to go:
- Clean Start is a two week intestinal cleanse that is good for anyone who is new to cleansing.
- Parasite Cleanse – This helps remove parasites from the intestines.
- Standard Process Purification Program – This can be used for 7 days up to 21 days depending on the results you are looking for. This cleanses the liver, kidneys and intestines.
One other thing to remember when doing a cleanse: Don't take your vitamins! Cleansing will remove your vitamins from your system so that no benefits will be achieved from taking them. When you hear the word, "chiropractor", you probably immediately think of “back pain”, right? That's true, but in addition to easing back pain, chiropractors can also provide other professional services to help improve your health and wellness. Nutritional counseling, exercise, posture and weight loss are just a few of the ways we can help improve your health in addition to resolving your back pain:
Nutritional Advice: Dietary and nutritional supplements are an integral part of our office. We realize that extra weight on your body adds to additional stresses on your spine. This additional weight makes you more prone to injury and a greater risk for health problems. Starting a weight loss program under the supervision of a healthcare professional has a greater likelihood of long-term success. Ask your doctor about nutritional supplements that may be helpful in reaching your intended goal.
Postural Support: As doctors of chiropractic we are trained experts at analyzing posture and how it relates to spinal problems. We are trained in the art of detection, function, and restoration of subluxations. Our focus is on finding the underlying problems that are causing poor posture and its effect on daily movement activities. By analyzing spinal curvatures and alignment, we search for the problems that contribute to the postural pattern and develop a strategy of correction.
